Boating - Go boating on the Big Rideau Lake. Explore the many boating possibilities on this largest lake on the chain along the Rideau Canal. The park provides easy access to a boater's paradise. There is a boat launch and docking facilities.
Fishing - The Big Rideau provides unlimited fishing possibilities especially for lake trout, pike and bass.
Swimming - Enjoy a lakeside picnic on our sandy beach and a safe swim on the clear water. The beach slopes gently into shallow water and the swimming area is surrounded by buoys.
Wildlife - The area is home to a wide variety of birds for avid bird watchers, including swans and blue herons. Keep your eyes open for raccoon, chipmunks, rabbits and white-tailed deer, too.
Cycling/Hiking - Come and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings of the Big Rideau Lake and the many interesting and historic sites in the region. Hop on a bike or enjoy peaceful hikes on the Cataraqui Trail.
Other activities - The campground offers a large central playing field overlooking the lake which includes a horseshoe pit, a volleyball court, 2 play structures and a large swing set.
There are several excellent golf courses and terrific shopping in nearby Crosby Westport and Portland. Browse through the local flea market or some of the shops in the villages nearby. There is always something of interest at the Village Green in Westport or Kilborns in Newboro.
